Golden Globes bling 3. How to give the perfect Wedding Speech =================================== Celebrity Makeups and Breakups =================================== The Yuletide season 2006 is probably better known this year for its breakups rather than its makeups. * Alan Cumming, the star of X-Men 2 married his boyfriend of 2 years, artist Grant Shaffer in a civil ceremony earlier this month in London. The couple's 140 guests, including Sir Ian McKellen, Geri Halliwell, Neve Campbell, Rufus Wainwright and Monica Lewinsky, boarded a boat in London and sailed down the Thames to Greenwich, where the ceremony was held at the 175-year-old Old Royal Naval College. Cumming and Shaffer both wore custom made suits: Shaffer's was black striped and Cumming's was an oatmeal colored linen kilt suit. The couple walked down the aisle to a string quartet playing the theme song from Cumming's 1995 film Circle of Friends. At the end of the ceremony, as Queen's "You're My Best Friend" played, guests moved outside to the rented ice rink for the newlyweds' first skate. How quaint! * Lord of the Dance and Riverdance star Michael Flatley married his longtime costar Niamh O'Brien in a ceremony in County Cork, Ireland, on Saturday. "She's the most beautiful girl in the world, inside and out," Flatley, 48, told the Britain's Sunday Times of O'Brien, 32, who he has known for more than 10 years. "She is exactly what I was hoping my wife would be." The ceremony was held at St. Patrick's Church, two miles from Flatley's home in Castlehyde. Thousands of residents from Fermoy, County Cork, turned out for the event. Flatley spent about five minutes shaking hands and kissing well-wishers before finally making it through the crowd and into the church. O'Brien wore a vintage Badgley Mischka dress and carried a bouquet of red roses. * Tim Allen, long-time star of TV's "Home Improvement" married his girlfriend of five years, actress Jane Hajduk in Colorado last weekend. According to his publicist, the only guests at the intimate, outdoor ceremony in Grand Lake, were the couple's family, including Allen's daughter, Katherine Dick, 17. This is the first marriage for Hajduk, 39, who appeared with Allen in two movies this year: the family-superhero movie Zoom and the comedy The Shaggy Dog. Allen, 53, whose real name is Timothy Alan Dick, was married to his college sweetheart, Laura Deibel, from 1984 to 1999. * MTV VJ and former Miss USA Susie Castillo was married Saturday to her longtime beau, Matthew Leslie, in an intimate ceremony at his parents' home in Ipswich, Mass., the couple tells PEOPLE exclusively. The bride wore an off-the-rack Domo Adami gown purchased at a bridal sample sale, with an ivory linen fitted bodice over a separate skirt supported by layers of lace and tulle and decorated with linen flowers. Her veil was fingertip length sheer ivory tulle. The couple designed their wedding bands, which are white gold rings with invisible set diamonds that were custom-made by Richard Berberian at Elyse Jewelers. Castillo's has scalloped edges lined with baguettes. Leslie also designed Castillo's engagement ring, which features a 1.1-carat round diamond with pink sapphires on either side, with smaller diamonds flanking the sapphires. * Oscar-award winner Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillipe have announced a split after seven years of marriage and 2 children - 7 year old Ava and 3 year old Deacon. Just days after they announced their split, Phillippe told PEOPLE magazine: "I'm not a perfect person, but I'm not guilty of a lot of the things I have been accused of." Still, the 'Flags of Our Fathers' star brushed off reports that an alleged relationship with Australian actress Abbie Cornish was the catalyst for their demise. * As Whitney would say, "Hell to the no!" But the Grammy-winning singer decided it was "hell to the yes" when she filed for separation on Sept. 8 and a month later filed for divorce from her bad-boy husband Brown. The couple survived a reality show (Being Bobby Brown), rehab and run-ins with the law, but Houston finally decided it was her prerogative to end her 14-year marriage. * Things got really ugly after McCartney and Mills announced their separation in May, and he filed for divorce in July after four years of marriage. The land-mine activist claimed the ex-Beatle had been abusive to her. Tabloids posted topless photos from her younger days. Tired of sensational reports that she was after his estimated $1.8 billion fortune, Mills told TV's Extra in November, "Eighty-five percent of my income goes to my charity. The word gold-digger doesn't go with that." * Their first parting of the ways played out onscreen in The Break-Up. But Aniston and Vaughn conducted their 14-month-long relationship as far from the media glare as possible. During their courtship, they battled engagement rumors (Oprah's throwing them an $8 million wedding!) and talk that they'd split long before their reps' Dec. 5 announcement. In the end, they remained just "good friends." * Two years of marriage, two babies (Sean Preston, 1, and Jayden James, 3 months) and it was kaput for Britney Spears and Kevin Federline when she filed for divorce on Nov. 7. Of course, the rumor mill had been predicting it all along. Now, Spears is reliving her single life on the town with new BFFs including Paris Hilton while Fed-Ex makes the rounds with his rap crew. * Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz announced in a joint statement last week that their relationship is over but insist they are "still good friends", but avoided each other like the plague at the Golden Globe after-awards parties. Can you imagine how great you would feel if rather than shaking in your shoes you could stand up tall, take the floor, and hold your guest's rapt attention for the 3 minutes or so it should take you to make your speech? Instead of fumbling on the words while everyone stares, you could be standing with confidence, making your audience laugh, cry, smile or even applaud you and afterwards compliment you on your wonderful speech. All it takes is a little know-how, a little chutzpah, and a clever little book called Instant Wedding Speech Templates. Sound too good to be true? Well, it isn't if you have the right words! Whether you are the Best Man, Maid of Honor, Father of the Bride or an Honored Guest, www.Instant Toasts.com can help you find EXACTLY the right words and help teach you how to say them in a way that means the most. Imagine the joy the Bride and Groom would feel if your speech had your audience in awe - it would be a lasting present for the Bride and Groom and something they could share the memory of together forever.
